The Amhara Sport Federation in North America (ASFNA) is a nonprofit, community-led organization committed to honoring the cultural and historical legacy of the Amhara people by building platforms that unite, celebrate and empower the Amhara diaspora, particularly through sports, cultural exchange and social contribution.
Our vision
ASFNA exists to:
- Honor Amhara heritage through athletic and cultural excellence
- Bridge generations by connecting youth with knowledge, ancestral values and traditions
- Celebrate diversity within unity, embracing the many voices and talents of the Amhara diaspora
- Build community through shared experiences that uplift, educate and inspire
- Promote unity among Amharas by creating inclusive, celebratory spaces

We strive to introduce our tradition, heritage and culture to new and broader audiences. We vow to hold dear the traditions and uniqueness of the Amhara heritage while embracing new ideas.
What we do
ASFNA runs a yearly multi-day sports and cultural festival, held in a different North American city each year.
